Sometimes people think multiracial or interracial dating is so “cutting-edge” it’s only for the very young.

Here’s a newsflash, young is a state of mind.

So, for those of you who are “mature” and are in multiracial families and couples, this is a shout-out to you.

You remember:

1. Dr. J

2. Bell-Bottoms

3. Walter Cronkite

4. Rotary Phones

5. TVs stations that weren’t 24 hours a day

You also remember some not so cool things like:

1.  Segregation

2. When interracial marriage was illegal

3. Race riots

4. Assassination of civil rights leaders

So things are difficult yes, as the news tells us.  But, remember progress has been made. Much is left to do, so the ones of us with a little snow on the roof have to keep some fire in the furnace.
