Multiracial Family Man Podcast #25: Alex Munoz, Guest

Written by Alex on August 9, 2015 - 2 Comments

Ep. 25 of the Podcast: Alex Munoz, who once served as Prince’s stand-in during the making of a movie, is a multiracial (Chamorro, Mexican, and European) filmmaker.

His films re-valorize marginalized perspectives.  Whether it’s his award-winning webisode Griot’s Lament or his work on the USO’s Hoops for Troops tour, or his work with FYI films, helping incarcerated youth learn filmmaking to enable them to tell their story, Alex is all about using film to raise up and advocate for the disenfranchised, the voiceless, and those who suffer the indignities of racism and discrimination.
